The Express Entry Skilled Worker Category provides a pathway to permanent residency for persons who want to live in Newfoundland and Labrador permanently. Applicants must be accepted into the Express Entry pool of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada, have a work offer in Newfoundland and Labrador, and desire to stay in the province permanently.

IRCC has committed to processing 80 percent of all Express Entry candidates within six months of receiving the nominated application.

Eligibility Requirements

• Applicants must have a high-skilled employment or an offer of a high-skilled position from an NL company based on the National Occupational Code (NOC) categorization systemOpens in new window. The position or job offer should be for a minimum of two years, with the option to extend it.
• On the PNP point evaluation grid for Express Entry, get a minimum of 67 points out of 100.
• Applicants must be accepted into Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada’s (IRCC) Express Entry pool.
• Have or be eligible to apply for an IRCC Work Permit with at least 4 months remaining at the time of application
• Have a Canadian post-secondary degree or diploma, or an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report from an agency approved by IRCC
• Have sufficient settlement funds or financial resources
• Be able to provide language test results from a designated testing agency
• Have a valid temporary resident status in Canada.

REQUIREMENTS

• Prior to submitting a PNP application, you must save your savings for at least three months.
• The financial account(s) must be solely in the name(s) of the principal applicant or spouse
• Afull transaction history must be shown on account statements.
• Applicants should only provide documentation for accounts with the specified minimum balance, not for all financial holdings.

This category is for international workers and potential immigrants who have skills that are valuable in the workplace. Applicants must have a guaranteed offer of employment from a local employer or be working in the province on a valid work permit to be considered.

Eligibility Requirements

• Afull-time job or job offer. The job or job offer should be for at least two years with the possibility of extension, from an eligible Newfoundland and Labrador employer.
• Qualifications, training, skills, and/or accreditation required for the job
• A sufficient amount of settlement money and financial resources to properly establish yourself and any dependents in Newfoundland and Labrador
• English or French language capability to perform the employment duties. PLEASE NOTE: Occupations classified in NOC Code C or D will have to meet Minimum Language Requirements

Recent graduates with a Post-Graduate Work Permit and a job or job offer from a Newfoundland and Labrador employer fall into this group. Disclaimer. After 90 days, applications that are partially completed but not submitted will be closed and no longer available.

Eligibility Requirements

• Have an IRCC Post- Graduation work permit (PGWP). The work permit must have at least 4 months validity remaining at the time of application for the NL Provincial Nominee Program
• Have a full-time job or job offer
  • In a NOC 0, A or B occupation, or a NOC C occupation, provided the occupation is in an In-Demand Occupation
  • That guarantees a minimum of 30 hours per week for the applicant
  • That is at least one year in duration with a reasonable expectation of extension
  • From an eligible Newfoundland and Labrador employer
  • That compensates the applicant in the form of a salary or hourly wage (not commission)
  • Meets provincial employment standards and prevailing wage rates.
  • Meet NOC code employment requirements for that occupation.
  • That is not a contractual or locum position (short-term positions usually less than twelve (12) months in duration with little or no possibility of extension)
• Hold sufficient settlement funds and financial resources to successfully establish themselves and any dependents in Newfoundland and Labrador
• Sufficient English or French language capability to perform the employment duties. Language testing is required for NOC C, In-Demand occupations. Minimum language requirements.
